The People

Catherine Smith – Managing Director
Catherine has had an interest in the Airfield since 1996 and took over as Managing Director in 2006.  Catherine was previously involved in a variety of businesses including a Saab and Subaru dealership and a chain of London restaurants.

John Walker – Airfield Manager
John joined White Waltham in 2008.  He has previously been Operations Director at Birmingham International and Airfield Manager at Retford Gamston.  John is responsible for the day to day operations of the airfield, including hangarage, parking and fuel.

David Coe – Chief Flying Instructor
David has been teaching people to fly for over 21 years and joined the Club as CFI in 1999. He is supported by his deputy, Peter Howe, and a team of full and part-time instructors.

Peter Shaw – Chief Engineer
Peter has been an aircraft engineer for more than 20 years, most of those have been spent at White Waltham.  He runs both of our engineering departments which cater for Western and Russian type aircraft.

Club members wishing to discuss any aspect of airfield safety or membership should contact one of the above committee members. Reporting forms are available in the flight planning room for safety issues and should be used whenever possible for reporting specific incidents or making general suggestions.  Angela Rogerson is the contact for membership issues.
